Does the laser treatment hurt?
Some treatments are painless. There is minimal discomfort with others.
Will I be able to return to work right away?
Under most circumstances, yes. As with any procedure there can be little bruises, red spots or even blisters. They will resolve without problem usually.
What is a “Curl Lift”?
This is a subtle lift applied to the eyebrow, the mid-face, the edges of the lips, the jowl or under the chin using a special needle and plastic suture material buried deep in the subcutaneous tissue and anchored beneath the scalp. This provides a subtle lift with frequently dramatic results. It is interesting that sometimes the most minor tweaking of one's normal anatomy can provide drama and/or freshness to the face. How many times have you pulled your eyebrows up, the mid-face up or the chin up in order to "see" how you would look?
What are the benefits of aesthetic vs. Plastic surgery?
Plastic surgery is surgery. It involves cutting away tissue, restructuring of the tissue to achieve a different morphological look. Aesthetic medicine is less aggressive, but attempts to address each aspect of the whole picture. This includes quality of the skin, morphology to a more limited degree using different techniques. sun damage, fine wrinkling, hair presence, obesity and general age management health issues which will make you project a younger self to the world. This comes from tending to each aspect of health.
Who are the best candidates for Age Management treatment?
Aging people who are beginning to feel in decline or those who simply want to develop a lifestyle which prevents this in the long term.
What exactly are fillers?
There are many types of fillers. There is collagen for fine wrinkles, volumizers, and implants. The latter lasts longer and can even be permanent. Fillers are used in order to "tweak" your appearance. They can make your lips, cheeks, and below the eye area be more full in appearance and creases can be filled. If you have a gaunt look, they can make you look fuller, but only where it is desired. We give great "lip service", using fillers to create a little more fullness in the lips.
How can a chemical peel help my skin?
The stronger peels will remove the build up of old cells which makes the skin appear "tough". Gentler peels simply maintain this. There are many variations on the theme.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
It is semi-permanent in that about a year after the series of treatments, some follicles may develop small, fine sprouts. One treatment usually gets rid of them as they reemerge.
Why does my body need supplements?
Supplement are what are usually referred to as vitamins. Vitamins act as cofactors (must be present) in order for cellular metabolism to happen in the cells in your body. As we age, slightly higher amounts of these cofactors will push metabolism so that cells are "happy". Vitamins also quench free radicals in the body which exist due to environmental toxins which interfere with normal cell replication. In the absence of these free radical quenchers (vitamins), the body is more likely to produce abnormal cells which sometimes develop into tumors. Free radicals unquenched in the body can damage cellular DNA. Then when the cell replicates, it is changed in appearance and function. This is therefore reflected in the aging look the body takes on. You can take too much of a supplement and balance of these various molecules is important. That is why these issues are best managed by a physician or other professional trained in these matters.
What is your philosophical approach to aesthetic medicine?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder: Isn't that what they say?

For those of us in the industrialized world on the planet today, that old paradigm has transitioned.

One's ability to engage another is (and probably always has been) dependent on one's personal style, vigor and physical characteristics. If you're sad, isn't it amazing how your emotions are reflected in your face, your posture, your persona?

But isn't it interesting how one affects the other?

On the day when you feel good emotionally, you look good physically. When you look good physically, your body language changes to reflect your self assurance.

YES, beautiful blue eyes can be stunning, but once real communication begins, those eyes can easily fade or become more radiant, dependent on the confidence, ability to articulate and other intangible or tangible elements of the interchange.

We are interested in these things in our practice, because we believe that we can help to enhance YOUR ability to engage another through the use of techniques which ENHANCE YOUR look.

We can MELT FAT through the use of simple injection techniques, literally anywhere on the body, including the face, belly, hips, buttocks, thighs, below the chin, along the waistline or in the back and at the base of the neck, where that "hump" distorts the sleek look you're looking for.

We can LIFT your jowl, cheek or eyes.

We can LIFT AND SMOOTH OUT the area under your chin.

We can alter the facial musculature slightly so that it piques your appearance to your advantage or simply to your whim.

We can FILL places in the face where tissue has been injured or has wasted away.

We can lift the corners of your mouth or make it a little plumper.

We can SMOOTH out the texture of your skin and give you a glow that will last for months, with one simple treatment.

All of this we can do using non-surgical techniques! No time lost from work or extended post surgical recovery times!
